Designer Upcycles is a website displaying the upcycle/recycle fine art creations of Designer Rhonda Mallard.  Rhonda has been recycling and upcycling vintage jewelry, china, glass, jars, bottles, antiques etc. since 1994.  It is her wish to inspire others to reuse and repurpose things around the house to protect and save the environment for generations to come.  She created her first upcycle design in 1994 while decorating an old jar with jewelry, lace etc to make an heirloom for a friend.  Her thought was that there should be a way to reuse the old bottle instead of just adding jewelry to it, so she cut the top off of the bottle and lined the edge of it with a substance to cover the sharp unfinished edges.  When she finished decorating the bottle with vintage jewelry and added make-up brushes inside of it, at the urging of one of her best friends, Trilby, Rhonda & Trilby traveled to Cocoa Village and presented Rhonda's creations to Natasha Lawrence, President of the Brevard Art Association at the time. The rest is history!  Natasha was so impressed with Rhonda's creations that she took them to the board of the Brevard Art Association for review & Rhonda's creations were declared fine art!  Rhonda then began selling her creations in the Proud Butterfly of Cocoa Village and gave demonstrations and tips on how she designed them there!  Rhonda has been making & selling her art creations ever since!  To inquire about any of Rhonda's one-of-a-kind designer creations, please e-mail designerupcycles@yahoo.com or call Rhonda@ (321) 591-8598.  Rhonda is constantly coming up with new ideas and creations to help save the environment so keep watching this website to view her latest creations!
